Had some old oak boards left from a previous project. Used these for the top

Glue up using tenons on the side grain for good hold

Legs done on the miter table. The cross cut grooves were tearing out on the oak so I had to keep them small. 

Shelf glue up - no  tenons here as it sits on a plywood base. 

Short sides glued up

Complete glue up. Had to line up 12 tenons to glue it. 

Mitered edge with a classic feel

Finished the whole thing with oil based wipe on polyurethane
